Quan Thanh Temple overview
Quan Thanh Temple, Hanoi, Vietnam is located right at the crossroads of Thanh Nien and Quan Thanh Streets, the center of Hanoi. Tourists come here to see the long-standing ancient architecture of Vietnam’s historical stature.
Quan Thanh Temple was built at the beginning of the Ly Dynasty. And, this unique temple has been restored numerous times, including in 1618, 1677, 1768, 1836, 1843, and 1941. This temple was designated as a national cultural and historical relic in 1962, and it is one of the main destinations on the Hanoi city tour.
Quan Thanh Temple is situated in a beautiful setting with two famous lakes on either side, Truc Bach Lake and West Lake, and inside the temple is a large and impressive bronze statue of Tran Vu.
Quan Thanh Temple is not only a work of art, but it also has historical and architectural significance. And, every lunar year, on March 3rd, the temple holds a festival so it is much more interesting if you visit this time.
