Srah Srang is the name of a lake in Cambodia with unique architecture. Srah Srang Lake was constructed in the 10th century and repaired in the 12th and 13th centuries. Srah Srang Lake was built solely for Buddhism; it was a solemn and revered place for all Cambodians at the time.

Srah Srang Lake is a man-made lake that was built by the king in the past. Srah Srang Lake has simple architecture and a three-step staircase leading down to the lake. The kings used to take a boat trip to the center of Srah Srangk Lake to go sightseeing, especially to see the sunrise on the lake; this activity was done for pleasure and relaxation.

Srah Srang Lake, which tourists currently see, has been destroyed; this lake is surrounded by many different and large types of trees. The lake does not have water during the dry season, so tourists can easily walk to the center of the lake to do sightseeing and see the antiquities that were sunk in the past.

Srah Srang Lake still has the status of stone, snake, and lion….they were skillfully sculpted with many different sizes and were set to head to the lake face. Some of the statuses are still in place today, but others have been broken, and it appears that the ravage has drawn a lot of tourists to come and explore this lake.

Srah Srang Lake was always the main irrigational source in the past, but as time passed, Srah Srang Lake was degraded, and it is now only an ancient historical relic because its irrigational function is no longer available. This lake is a great place to watch and greet the sunrise in the early morning. The first sunny is very beautiful when the lake has water, the reflection creates a sparkling light, and it brings a comfortable feeling, welcoming a new day with a lot of fun.
