Banteay Kdei Temple is a Buddhist temple in Angkor, Cambodia. It is located in the south-east of Ta Prohm Temple and the east of Angkor Thom Temple.
Banteay Kdei Temple was built in the early 13rd century under King Jayavarman VII by Bayon architecture, it is the same of Pa Prohm and Preah Khan but this temple is less complicated. The architecture of Banteay Kdei Temple is contained in two walls, and include two display rooms in the between, then there are the central towers, and the east is a monastery, this Buddhism complicated monastery is repairing.
Banteay Kdei Temple has been occupied by the monks in the different periods in many centuries until 1960. Banteay Kdei Temple is also located in the Angkor Temple Complex, it is not far from the center of Siem Reap, so that the tourist could catch a taxi or a tuk tuk from the hotel in the center of Siem Reap to go here visiting this temple in some hours, although this temple do not keep full like other places in Angkor Temple area, it is still very mysterious and worthwhile for the tourist take the time to explore and experience.
