Yangon the largest city of Myanmar, is home to Southeast Asia’s most unique and beautiful Buddhist temples, such as the 326-foot-tall/99-meter-high gilded Shwedagon Pagoda, which is said to house the relics of four previous Buddhas, or the Botataung Pagoda, which is located on the banks of the Bago river in downtown Yangon and is one of the city’s most highly revered temples.

Best time to travel to Yangon

From November to February, it is the dry season and this is also the best time to visit Yangon when the average temperatures of 20°C-30°C and low rainfall.

In March and April, it is still the dry season, but it is also the hottest time of year, with temperatures reaching 39°C. From May to October, it is the wet season when an average temperature of 30°C.
