Day 1: Yangon Arrival – Pick up & Check in hotel – Tour (D)

Fly to Yangon formerly known as Rangoon, Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, where you will be welcomed by your personal tour guide and transferred to your beautiful hotel “ Kandawgyi  Palace Hotel. Take a short break till the afternoon walking tour around the heart of  Yangon City.

In the afternoon around 03:30 pm, meet up with your guide in the hotel lobby and you will be transferred to the starting point in the downtown area to enjoy a walk through China-town. Here you will discover different displays showing the culture, the language, the religion, the people, the history, and the glory of Myanmar. Then proceed to Sinohedan Harbor where you will experience the taste of the reality of local people and ways of life as well as enjoy the sunset from the riverside. Then drive back to the hotel and overnight stay at Kandawgyi Palace Hotel.

 

Day 2: Yangon Tour – Circular Train Ride (B, L)

Today after breakfast, meet up with your local English Speaking Guide in Hotel Lobby at 07:30 for group orientation and briefing about excursions around Myanmar. At 08:00, We are to start exploring the highlights of Yangon.

Firstly we are to visit Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments, and the golden dome Pagoda is the place to see the local ways of life and belief then If the time permits, you can drop in at the Kalaywa Tawya Monastery where more than 1000 monks and nuns studying Buddhist scriptures and also operate modern academic studies. After that proceed to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda ( the huge reclining Buddha Statue in the length of 72 meters long ) and then take a lunch break at Authentic Local Restaurant to introduce typical local foods to you. after lunch, drive back to the hotel to take a short break till afternoon sightseeing begin.

In the afternoon, we are to explore the reality of Yangon’s suburbs through a city circular train ride. Firstly you will be transferred to Yangon Central Railway Station built in 1954 based on Burmese Traditional Architectural Styles. then take a train ride for one hour which runs through Yangon’s suburbs. You are to disembark at Insein Train Station and meet up with your driver there and drive back to the hotel to have early rest for tomorrow‘s early wake-up. Overnight stay at Kandawgyi Palace Hotel, Yangon.

 

Day 3: Yangon – Fly Bagan (a 1hr flight) – Tour (B, L)

Today we will begin with an early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Bagan. This city has the largest area of temples, pagodas, stupas, and ruins in the entire world. Bagan is one of the most culturally historic places in Myanmar as well as the main hub for Buddhists.

Upon arrival at Nyaung U International Airport, we will begin the tour of the city.  Firstly we are to visit the local Nyaung Oo Market so as to experience the wonderful moments of daily life and interactions between people. After that, a visit to Shwezigon pagoda a 1,000-year-old Buddhist stupa whose glittering golden bell-shape dome became a model for pagodas throughout Burma .then proceed to  Htilominlo temple is a large majestic structure towering 46 meters high, a brick structure, that was originally plastered with white stucco, some of which is still in place after that Visit Ananda temple which is one of Bagan’s best known and most beautiful and symmetrical structure with the layout of a Greek cross and then take a lunch break at a good local restaurant and check in at hotel for refreshing and relaxing till afternoon sightseeing.

Afternoon sightseeing begins around 15:30 and starts excursion the remaining highlights of Bagan with a horse-drawn carriage by passing through ancient religious monuments like Pahtothamya temple is one of the oldest temples of Bagan built at the end of the 10th century and Thabyinnyu Temple With a height of just over 60 meters, the Thatbyinnyu Temple is one of the highest monuments of Bagan then visit Dhammanyangy which is the largest temple on the plains of Bagan. From a distance, it resembles the early step pyramids of Egypt. Then head off to The Sulamani Temple which is a large, very elegant multi-story structure from the late Bagan period then enjoy the sunset from Pyathatgyi, one of the few remaining “double cave” monasteries. After that drive back to the hotel and overnight stay at Bagan Ayeyar Hotel River View.

 

Day 4: Morning Balloon Ride & Bagan – Popa by Car (B, L, D)

Early in the morning, well before dawn, We are to be ready and picked up by the representative from Balloon Over Bagan and fly over the Archeological Treasure of Myanmar “Glorious Bagan “ Of course this is a grand indulgence! — but Bagan is one of the visual wonders of the world, up there alongside Angkor in Cambodia and Borobodur in Indonesia. And Bagan is simply vast, nearly 70 square kilometers in extent, and if the weather smiles on us there is simply no better way of photographing its mind-boggling scale or capturing its dreamlike mood .then back to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, an excursion to the enchanting Mt. Popa, a great extinct volcano situated about 67 km, it takes one hour drive from southeast of Bagan via Kyaukpadaung. Mt. Popa, standing out as a green-clad landmark in the Dry Zone, is situated at 15,00 meter-high and is an extinct volcano. Tour highlights: toddy palm groves and jaggery cottage industry;  and the famous Popa Taungkalat, a tower-like volcanic plug lying on the south-western slope of Mt. Popa. Then enjoy the scenic view of its surrounding from Popa Mountain Resort.  Check in the hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon from Popa Mountain Resort.

 

Day 5: Bagan – Paukan Cruise ( River Cruising ) (B)

After breakfast and check out the hotel and depart Bagan around noon on the beautiful RV Pandaw river cruiser; a replica of a colonial river steamer with all the comforts and service associated with this bygone era. This morning enjoy breakfast on board and Arrive at Mandalay around 10 am. This morning you will take a sightseeing tour of Mandalay which includes Mahanumi, a life-like Buddha image, visit a gold leaf making center to see the gold leaf still being made by hand; marble sculpture and tapestry workshops then take a lunch break and check in the hotel to have a rest before afternoon sightseeing.

In the afternoon visit the Old Palace grounds; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world’s largest book for its 729 marble slabs inscribed with the Buddha’s Doctrine; Golden Palace Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Atumashi Monastery; and Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, where a huge image is carved out of a single block of marble. At sunset enjoy the panoramic view of the city from Mandalay Hill. drive back to the hotel and overnight at Mandalay Sedona Hotel.

 

Day 8: Mandalay – Fly to Heho (a 1hr flight) – Inle Lake Boat Trip (B, L)

After breakfast hotel in Mandalay, you are transferred to Mandalay international airport for your flight to Heho. Upon arrival to  Heho airport, a scenic one-hour drive leads to a small town called  Nyaung Shwe, the major gateway to Inle lake, on the way to Nyaung Shwe, you are to visit Shwe Yan Pyay Wooden Monastery with unique oval-shaped window, dating back to over 140 years ago. Then directly transfer to a boat stand in Nyaung Shawe and board a private motorboat to head out to Inle lake, one of the most spectacular sights, pass villages built on stilts over the lake, inhabited by the local Intha people. Observe the unique leg-rowing fishermen and see their floating gardens built up from strips of water hyacinth, bottomed lake weed, marsh, and mud and anchored to the bottom of the lake with a bamboo pole. Take a lunch break at a restaurant in Inle lake.

Afternoon sightseeing will include the excursion to the weaving village of Inpawkhone and Cherrot factory where the typical Burmese hand-rolled cigars are med by hand. then continue to Pahung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary Which contains five sacred Buddha images covered in the gold leaf then visit Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, which houses dozens of Shan Buddha Images, but which is also popularly known as “ Jumping cats” monastery. After that sightseeing around the floating gardens areas of Inle lake on which seasonal vegetables are grown from the boat. Then transfer to hotel and overnight stay at Inle lake View Resort, Inle lake.

 

Day 9: Inle – Indein Boat Trip (B, L)

After breakfast, excursion to Inn Dein village by driving along the narrow creek and it might take approximately 45 minutes from your hotel jetty then embark and walk to the Shwe Inn Dein pagoda complex through the bamboo groove. There, you will see the ruin Shan-style stupas which were abandoned and forgotten for decades and those relics and images were stolen, ruined, or destroyed. Lunch break at Indein. After lunch, return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of your day at your hotel. Overnight stay at Inle lake View Resort.

 

Day 10: Inle/Heho – Fly to Nagapali Beach (a 1hr flight) (B)
