Quan Ba overview
Quan Ba is a district in Ha Giang Province, still known as the “Dalat” of northern Ha Giang, and locates 46 kilometers north of the province’s center.
The district includes many convenient features such as cool weather all year, many mighty landscapes such as Cong Troi (heaven gate), Co Tien Mountain, Kho My cave, and the special customs and habits of the ethnic groups such as Mong, Dao, Tay, Bo Y…
There are up to fourteen ethnic groups living together in this district, each with their own customs and habits, resulting in an object and non-object cultural heritage, such as the Gau Tao festival, Cap Sac festival, and singing between the boys and girls of the Dao group, the raining praying festival of the Nung group…

Quan Ba Heaven Gate
This is the first gate to enter Dong Van Highland and is located 1500 meters above sea level. In 1939, a wooden gate 150cm thick was built right next to the heaven gate, and after this gate is the other world, also known as “the area of Meo group,” which includes districts such as Quan Ba, Meo Vac, Yen Minh, and Dong Van.
Quan Ba Double Mountain
The mountain is located near the 4C highway, approximately 40 kilometers from the center of Ha Giang. It appears as double mountains with special images between the rocky mountains and terraced fields, which takes tourists by surprise with its mighty beauty. This double mountain is closely related to Co Tien Mountain.
Nam Dam Community Tourist Village
The Nam Dam Community Tourist Village is in Nam Dam hamlet, Quan Ba commune, and Quan Ba district. It is about 2 kilometers from Tam Son town. This site has a total area of 458ha.
It is convenient and easy for tourists to travel to Nam Dam Community Tourist Village, which is the living place of the Dao Cham group.
Nam Dam Community Tourist Village has preserved many traditional habits, customs, and festivals such as Cau Mua (praying for rain), Weddings, New rice, and Cap Sac festival, which is organized for all boys who have begun to become adults. Almost all of the houses here are built in a very simple Dao group style.
Kho My Cave
Quang Ba Kermis Market
Every Monday, this kermis market is held. Almost all of the locals here, from young to old, come here on Mondays of the weekend to participate in this special kermis market to exchange goods, try the local food, and buy their necessities…
How to travel to Quan Ba?
Tourists could take a night bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang, then a local bus from Ha Giang to Quan Ba.
It is approximately 300 kilometers from Hanoi to Ha Giang and approximately 46 kilometers from Ha Giang’s center to this district, totaling approximately 346 kilometers. From Ha Giang to Quan Ba, you will go through many beautiful mountainous passes and landscapes of Ha Giang.
