Bangkok City Tour

Highlights:

Activities:

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a sightseeing tour of the following locations: Visit Wat Traimit, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, which is famous for its 900-year-old five-and-a-half-ton solid gold image, and then continue to Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of the Dawn, which is one of Bangkok’s best-known landmarks and has been featured in numerous publications. Following that, pay a visit to Wat Po, Bangkok’s largest and oldest temple, as well as the largest single Buddha image: the Reclining Buddha (Phra Buddhasaiyas), also known as Wat Phra Chetuphon or The Temple of the Reclining Buddha. After lunch, we continue to the most famous tourist attractions in Bangkok, the Royal Grand Palace, and the Emerald Buddha. The Grand Palace shares a compound with Wat Phra Kaew and is where you will end up after leaving Wat Phra Kaew. Despite their close proximity, there is a distinct stylistic difference between the very Thai Wat Phra Kaew and the more European-inspired designs of the Grand Palace (the roof being the exception). We returned to the hotel and had some free time after that.

Bangkok - Damnoen Saduak Floating Market – Kanchanaburi

Activities:

Thailand’s most colorful floating market is a 120-kilometer drive away. We pass the largest source of salt production in Thailand along the highway. Thailand, Damnoen Saduak See how sugar is made directly from the coconut tree at the gardener’s house. The long-tailed speedboat will then be taken to the main component market. Discover an intriguing ancient Thai way of life that is still widely practiced in this region. A chance to try a variety of exotic Thai fruits as well as Thai handicrafts available on the spot. Later, travel to Kanchanaburi to see the infamous Bridge over the River Kwai, a World War II memorial. After that, visit the War Museum and the War Cemetery.

Transfer to Ayutthaya, Thailand’s former capital, after breakfast. Visit Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, one of the most beautiful Summer Palaces. Later, proceed to the Krung Sri River for a buffet lunch. Later, visit the Temple of Ruins, Wat Phra Sri Sanpetch (the former Royal Temple), Wat Yai Chai Mongkol (the temple of the reclining Buddha Image and the largest chedi), Wat Mahathat (where the head of the Lord Buddha Image is currently covered by a Poh Tree), and Wat Ratchaburi (where the national treasure was kept). After that, transfer to the hotel and enjoy your free time.

Activities:

Drive north to Sukhothai after breakfast. Visit Khamphaengphet Historical Park for an excursion before continuing on to Sukhothai. Lunch will be served at a nearby restaurant. After checking in, proceed to the local market in Sukhothai Town before returning to the hotel for relaxation and overnight.

Activities:

After breakfast, go to Sukhothai Historical Park, Thailand’s first capital. Sukhothai (literally “Dawn of Happiness”) was the first truly independent Thai Kingdom, founded in the 13th century, and enjoyed a golden age under King Ramkhamhaeng, who is credited with inventing the Thai alphabet. Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see for all travelers have lovingly restored this great city’s magnificent temples and monuments. Lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to Sri Satchanalai Historical Park, which is located on the banks of the Yom River in Tambon Muang Kao, Si Satchanalai county, only 55 kilometers from Sukhothai. During the Phra Ruang Dynasty, a new administrative center was established to replace Chiang, and the ancient town was renamed “Si Satchanalai.” This ancient town covered an area of more than 320 hectares (800 acres). The historical park’s main attraction is the 91-hectare (288-acre) area within the old laterite ramparts and city moat. Then travel to Lampang for the night.

Meo Hill Tribe Village – Doi Suthep Temple – Local Handicraft Village

Activities:

The adventure starts with a visit to a Meo Hill tribe village. The tribe’s physical characteristics are similar to the Chinese because they originally migrated from South China. They prefer large families with an average of 8 members. They engage in shifting agriculture. Planting primarily upland rice, corn, and soybeans. Women work harder than men on average. Most hill tribes share these characteristics. Their houses are built directly on the ground rather than on stilts. Because of its proximity to Doi Suthep, this village is a little more commercial and less traditional. Doi Pui was once well-known for its opium cultivation. It is 1500 meters above sea level. The journey continues to Wat Doi Suthep Temple. Driving up provides a panoramic view of Chiang Mai. Later, journeyed to the San Kamphaeng district, the beating heart of the silk and cotton home industries, to witness the fascinating process of creating and weaving these popular fabrics. Continue on to Bor Sang, the umbrella village, where delicate Thai paper umbrellas are hand-painted. Then it’s on to Thai Celadon, about 6 kilometers north of Chiang Mai, where exquisite ceramics are made. These are based on Sawankhalok pottery, which was made hundreds of years ago in Sukhothai and exported throughout the region. The style is very distinctive, with its deep, cracked glazed finish, and some pieces are exceptionally beautiful. Last but not least, are stops to observe the intricacies of both lacquerware and silverware craftsmen.

Chiang Mai – Elephant at Works – Chiang Dao

Drive to Chiang Dao Elephant Camp after breakfast to see elephants at work. This tour begins at 8.30 a.m. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel. Drive 1 hour north of Chiang Mai to Chiang Dao to reach the elephant camp. The elephants will be taking their morning baths and demonstrating some of their skills at the elephant camp. After that, take a one-hour elephant ride to a Lisu hill tribe village. The ride takes you through some beautiful forest scenery as well as along the river. After lunch, take a 1-hour bamboo raft ride down the river, admiring the scenery and soaking in the tranquility as you float down the river. Then, transfer to the hotel and relax. Drive to Pai District after breakfast at the hotel. The Pa Pae Hot Spring is located in the district of Mae Taeng, approximately 40 kilometers from Chiang Mai City Center, on the way to the towns of Mae Malai and Pai. The hot springs are probably some of the best in Chiang Mai province, as they are not over-commercialized and are set within a well-kept park in a beautiful wooded valley. The rock formations downstream from the bubbling geysers form dams and shallow pools for a relaxing hot soak. The park also has camping facilities and walks to nearby hill tribe villages. Then, transfer to the hotel and be on your own.

Mae Hong Son City Temple Tour – Baan Nai Soi – Chiang Mai

Begin early in the morning by visiting the morning market area, where you can purchase, in addition to the usual household items and foodstuffs, a variety of insect food such as crickets, worms, and ant eggs. Next Visit Baan Nai Soi, an unspoiled Karen village near the Myanmar border. Then, in the southern end of town, drive to the Burmese-style temples Wat Jong Kham and Wat Jong Klang, which are located next to a large pond. Shan people, who make up roughly half of Mae Hong Sorn’s population, built Wat Jong Kham nearly 200 years ago. Wat Jong Klang is home to 100-year-old glass paintings and Burmese woodcarvings depicting various aspects of Buddha’s life. Then drive uphill to Wat Phra Dhat Doi Kong Moo, with its beautiful view over Mae Hong Sorn. After that, drive down to Chiang Mai Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free on your own after check in.

Drive to Tha Ton Temple after breakfast to see the largest Lord Buddha Image in the sitting position on the summit of Tha Ton Hill. After that, proceed to Mae Sai Border Market, one of the largest border markets from which you can enter Tha Khi Lek Province, Myanmar. At the market, you will find a variety of goods, both local and imported from China and Myanmar, such as electronic devices, fruits, clothing, stones, jewelry, jade, and so on. Lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the infamous Golden Triangle, which has long been known as the epicenter of the opium trade. Admire the splendor of the mighty Mekong joining the Ruak and forming the actual Mekong from a hilltop vantage point, marvel at the splendor of the mighty Mekong joining with the Ruak and forming the actual “Triangle” with Laos Burma, and Thailand.
