Thuy Bieu overview
Thuy Bieu Village is about 7 kilometers southwest of Hue City. Despite being close to Hue’s center, this area is peaceful and rural, with fresh and green fruit orchards.
Thuy Bieu Village is surrounded by Huong River, Hue’s symbol and most beautiful river, and because it is surrounded by a river, this land is very rich in different fruits such as pomelo, lemon, and orange….from this side of the village, can see an overview of famous sites in Hue, such as Hon Chen Temple, Thien Mu Pagoda, and Trang Tien bridge,
Attractions and activities in Thuy Bieu Village
There are a variety of special architectural structures in Thuy Bieu Village, including the battle Ho Quyen Voi Re arena, which was built 183 years ago but has retained its original architecture; upon arrival, the tourist will imagine the space where the match between the tiger and elephant took place in the past.
There are numerous historic houses in this village with many pillars erected around them, all of these houses are made of rare sorts of wood and have been around for more than 100 years. These houses are roofed with different tiles to avoid the hot season, therefore they are exceptionally warm in the winter and quite cool in the summer. Each of these houses is surrounded by trees and has a garden in front of it, so you will always feel at ease when staying here. Despite the simplicity of the houses, it is a safe and convenient area to live.
When visiting Thuy Bieu Village, you must try one of the most famous fruits here, pomelo. The type of pomelo served here is unique and well-known throughout Vietnam, and you will enjoy its sweet and fresh flavor that no other location can match.
How to travel to Thuy Bieu Village?
It is only about 7 kilometers southwest of Hue City, therefore getting to the hamlet from the center of Hue by taxi, vehicle, or motorbike is quite easy, but riding a bike to encircle and view the entire sights of the villages is the most convenient option.
It is extremely inexpensive to rent a bike in Hue’s center and then spend about 30 minutes exploring one of the most unique and picturesque villages where practically traditional habits, customs, and sightseeing of Hue people have been preserved.
Travel Hue, you should spend some time riding a bike or motorbike or renting a taxi or car to discover this special village, where you will have the opportunity to mix yourself with nature, trees, and romantic landscapes, and try traditional local food cooked by the locals. All of this is very fun and worthwhile for you to try and enjoy once you travel to Hue.
