Quy Nhon is a coastal city of central Vietnam and the center of economy, politics, culture, science and tourism of Binh Dinh Province. In 2015, this city was voted to be the top destination in Southeast Asia by the travel magazine Rough Guides of the UK. With the wonderful beaches and majestic mountainous landscape, Quy Nhon is really an ideal tourist spot.

This is 1,065 km from Hanoi, 686 km from Ho Chi Minh City and 300km from Da Nang City. To arrive at this beautiful city, visitors can travel by airplane or bus. A reserved tour or a journey to discover Quy Nhon by motorbike is all a good choice. Remember that the best time to visit Quy Nhon is from February to August because the weather is suitable for traveling (no flood and storm).

With the history of over a thousand of years, Quy Nhon used to be the capital of Champa Kingdom. The centre of the city lies on a small peninsula which juts out like a dragon’s head from the mainland into the South China Sea. Not busy like Ho Chi Minh City and not gorgeous like Nha Trang City but Quy Nhon brings the poetic and romantic beauty with long curved beaches. If you would like to find out a place to relax completely, I would recommend you to reach beaches here. The blue seawater, boulder fields and beautiful coral reefs are available for tourists to admire and discover. Quiet, peaceful and picturesque – that’s the feelings of tourists when they come to Quy Nhon beaches. Especially, the seascape blending with the majesty of mountains looming on the horizon makes the whole scenery more seductive. That also explains why Quy Nhon is dubbed “the city of poetry”. At night, beaches are the place where collective games are held such as campfire or barbecues.

Another unmissable destination in Quy Nhon is Banh It Cham Tower (or Silver Tower) – a relic with unique architectural values of Champa Kingdom. This is also one of the most typical architectures of Cham people which still exist in Binh Dinh Province. It is the only ancient structure of Vietnam listed as one of 1,001 must-see architectures in a book published by a group of British authors. And you shouldn’t also miss Doi Tower (Twin Tower) which has been restored to serve as a tourist attraction of Quy Nhon City.

Don’t overlook Thi Nai Bridge – the longest cross-sea bridge in Vietnam. Being the highlight of nature in the area of Thi Nai Lagoon – Phuong Mai Peninsula, it boasts the magnificence and majesty amidst Quy Nhon.

Besides, tourists also have another choice: visiting Rang Rapids and the tomb of Han Mac Tu – a famous poet of Vietnam located 3km southeast of the city. This place is attractive with Hoang Hau Beach (Queen Beach), Thi Nhan Hill (Poet Hill) and Bao Dai Floor.

There are still many other tourist spots in Quy Nhon, for example Cu Lao Xanh (Blue Islet) or Eo Gio (Wind Strait) with the harmonious beauty of the sky, sea and mountains.

One thing shouldn’t be missed in Quy Nhon is cuisine. Well-known specialties are shrimp pancake, grilled chopped fish noodles and fresh seafood, especially snail dishes and grilled fish. Furthermore, the reasonable prices of delicious food make tourists feel satisfied.

If you have the chance to visit Vietnam, don’t miss coastal cities in the Central Region including Quy Nhon city. I believe that attractive natural landscapes and interesting beauty spots here are enough to bring you a trip full of memorable things. So hit the road and come to Quy Nhon to enjoy your summer vacation!
