Luon Cave overview

Luon Cave, Halong Bay, Vietnam is located on Bo Hon Island, approximately 14 kilometers south of Bai Chay pier. There is Con Rua island in front of Luon Cave, and Cong Troi is on the right hand.

There is pure and tranquil water like a mirror in this location, the cliffs are vertical, and nearby the water’s edge is the arch gate to be opened at the bottom of this island, which is called Luon Cave.

Highlights of Luon Cave

Take a boat ride through the beautiful gate to a circle and quiet lake that is surrounded by many trees, orchids, cliffs, monkeys, and various types of fish in the water.

This is a group of self-contained islands connected by a cave gate that is approximately 4m wide, 3m high, and 100m long. The brackish water lake in the cave is surrounded by four mountain faces and spans approximately 1 km2. The presence of fossilized shellfish in the cliffs indicates that people once lived in this area, which is a deep valley.

There aren’t many caves in Halong Bay like this cave. And, the most unique feature of this cave that draws tourists is the natural sightseeing, which is the beautiful combination of mountains and water, which is very ideal for sightseeing. 

How to travel to Luon Cave in Halong Bay?

Normally, a cruise trip of two days and one night, or three days and two nights on a Halong Bay cruise ship is included Luon Cave so that the tourist could take a kayaking trip from the cruise ship to this unique cave, there aren’t many water waves here, so taking a short kayaking trip to this site is very easy and convenient.
