Long Bien Bridge is the first steel bridge crossing Red River, Hanoi, built by the French in the 19th century. Long Bien Bridge was bombed several times during the war, even the two big pillars were cut off, however, this works has been restored to maintain the role of being a symbol of ancient Hanoi. Duong Lam ancient village, located in the town of Son Tay, Hanoi, is a popular tourist destination because of the architectural features of the Red River delta. Duong Lam ancient village is one of the few places where still retain the beauty of the ancient village with the house’s yard, wharf, banyan tree, temples, shrines … The village has a total of nearly 1,000 houses built from the 17th century with the ancient architectural style from traditional materials such as laterite, bamboo, tile… A special feature of this village is the tree of 300 years old, the tiled road leading to the village, the stained-time yellow walls creating both poetic and ancient scenery.

Dau Pagoda, Thanh Khuong Commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province, is 30 km from Hanoi. Dau Pagoda, built in 187 and completed 226 years is considered the oldest temple in Vietnam, and was recognized as a historical monument in 1962. Through many times of being embellished, currently, Dau pagoda bears the architecture of Later -Le Dynasty (in 17th– 18th  centuries) with four blocks connected together into a rectangle. The pagoda has many ancient statues of the Guardian, Arhat, Bodhisattva,… and a lot of Buddhist statues. In the center of the yard, there is Hoa Phong tower of 17 meters high, where 4 Heavenly Kings (governing heaven and earth) are worshiped.

Phuoc Tich ancient village nestles by O Lau River, 45 km from Hue city center. Phuoc Tich ancient village is famous for the preservation of the intact natural beauty of a village in Central region. The first name of the village was Phuc Giang, which expressed  the hope of having many happiness and luck from the river of the residents. In time of Tay Son, Phuc Giang was changed into Hoang Giang to memorize the family who have merit in reclaiming and building the village. To the Gia Long reign, the village was renamed Phuoc Tich, as the desire of people to accumulate mercy to their later generations.

The village is planned according to the architectural space, is divided into three hamlets linked together. Visiting this ancient village, visitors will feel the poetic beauty of Central villages, the tranquility through the house, yard or fence gate. Phuoc Tich village is frequently visited by tourists because of its value which is completely original through many ups and downs of the history.
