King Khai Dinh reigned from 1916 to 1925, and his tomb was constructed between 1920 and 1931, meaning that his tomb was still being built after his death from 1925 to 1931.

Khai Dinh is the Nguyen Dynasty’s 12th monarch, the son of Dong Khanh monarch and father of Bao Dai Kinh.
