Chua Ong Pagoda overview
Chua Ong Pagoda is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hoi An. It is located at 24 Tran Phu Street, the pagoda, and is also known as Quan Cong Temple (Quan Van Truong) named Trung Han Cung, built in the mid-17th century by Vietnamese people and Minh Huong people settling down in Hoi An.
The pagoda is to worship the talented general of The Three Kingdoms, Quan Van Truong (Guan Yu), for admiration and praise for his lofty heart.

Chua Ong Pagoda was built in the 17th century and was designated as a National cultural and historical relic on November 29, 1991. The pagoda is unique in that it was inspired by Chinese architecture at the time, and many statues with beautiful and skilled images have been carved here.
The pagoda, like many other pagodas and temples in Hoi An, was constructed in the 17th century, when many Chinese merchants chose Hoi An as their second home.
