Highlights:

Ha Giang ▸ Mac Dynasty Citadel

Activities:

The DH Travel team will meet you at your hotel in Hanoi, and drive to Ha Giang, a province in Vietnam’s far north, our path will go through mountainous terrain and breathtaking scenery. On the way, we visit the 15th-century Mac Dynasty Citadel and a nearby market.

Ha Giang – Meo Vac

Highlights:

Quan Ba ▸ Yen Minh ▸ Dong Van ▸ Ma Pi Leng Pass ▸ Nho Que River

Activities:

After breakfast, we travel to the small villages of Quan Ba, Yen Minh, and Dong Van, which are among the most picturesque in Vietnam’s northern tip. Following lunch, take a scenic route to the Ma Pi Leng Pass, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Nho Que River, you might catch one of the northeast’s spectacular sunsets. Finally, after a long day, you’ll arrive in the late afternoon at Meo Vac, where you’ll spend the night.

Meo Vac – Bac Me

Activities:

After breakfast and a brief visit to Meo Vac’s local market, where we will take a different scenic route back to Yen Minh and then to Bac Me in Cao Bang Province. Lunch will be arranged for you at a local restaurant in Quan Ba Town, then we will return to Ha Giang and Bac Me, on the way we will go on a short visit to a nearby Tay ethnic minority group on the outskirts of town to see how the locals live.

Bac Me – Cao Bang

Activities:

After breakfast, a morning drive will take you through three passes en route, the scenery is spectacular and the road runs along the sides of the mountains, we will have lunch in a small town before heading to Cao Bang town to check in to a hotel in the afternoon.

Cao Bang – Ban Gioc – Waterfalls – Cao Bang

Ban Gioc Waterfall

Activities:

After breakfast, we will visit the Ban Gioc Waterfall on the China-Vietnam border, 85km from Cao Bang, passing through attractive scenery en route, this waterfall is one of the largest and possibly the most impressive waterfalls in Vietnam. After a picnic lunch, we will visit Nguom Ngao, one of the largest caves in the area with its many fascinating shapes and formations of stalactites, then you’ll head back to Cao Bang with time to relax before dinner and your overnight.

Day 6:

Cao Bang – Lang Son – Hanoi

Activities:

After breakfast, we will return to Hanoi through historic passes to Lang Son, where will stop to visit a local market in the city center and explore this border city. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Lang Son. After lunch, the drive back to Hanoi will take about two and a half hours.
