This morning you have the option and opportunity to rise early and participate in the daily morning ritual of ‘Alms Giving’, you will experience saffron-clad monks collecting offerings or ‘Alms’ from faithful local residents. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the daily procession.

We visit the Phosi Market with its array of offerings including dried buffalo skin, local tea, saltpeter, and hill-tribe weavings as well as vegetables and livestock. Laos is known for its traditional crafts, and today we visit the ethnic villages of Ban Ouray, (Hmong), Ban Ou (Lowland Lao), and Ban Thapene (Khmu).

Continue driving to the beautiful Kuang Si Falls, on arrival at the Kuang Si Falls you will have the opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim in the topaz pools below the falls, walk along the forest trails and visit the Bear Sanctuary. We return to Luang Prabang by afternoon and continue to Ban Phanom, a well-known weaving village before returning to the city by late evening to watch the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath.
