Upon arrival at Vientiane International Airport. Our local guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel to check in.

Option 1: We begin visiting Wat Prakeo, a former royal temple that once housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Then, visit Wat Sisaket, which contains thousands of miniature Buddha statues. We continue to see the Patuxay Monument and Vientiane’s Arc de Triumph. We also go to That Luang Stupa, a Laotian national icon.

Option 2: You can unwind with a few drinks while watching the sunset over the Mekong River, or you can explore the Night Market and sample some of the city’s nightlife.

Today, after your breakfast at your hotel, you can choose one of the two trips below to enjoy.

Option 1: We leave the city and travel to Nam Ngum, a massive reservoir created by damming the Nam Ngum River to board a motor boat for a one-and-a-half-hour tour of one of the islands, we go for a short walk to learn about the local fishermen’s way of life. In return, if time permits, we experience gambling at the legal Lao casino located in the valley where you can also enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. In the evening, we return to Vientiane to watch the sunset over the Mekong River and explore the Night Market.

Option 2: We begin with a visit to The National Museum, formerly known as the Revolutionary Museum, which displays artifacts, photographs, and legends of Laos’ fighters and leaders from ancient times to the revolutionary, Pathet Lao, period. We also go to Buddha Park (about 25 kilometers south of Vientiane), which contains about 200 religious images dating back over 500 years and were created by a mysterious monk spreading his philosophy on life and revealing his ideas about the universe.

Breakfast, either depart Vientiane for your home country or stay one more night to experience Laos as your choice of traveling is we drive 165 kilometers north of Vientiane to enjoy the countryside of Laos where there is the most beautiful landscape and limestone karst caves and river. We return to Vientiane in the late afternoon.
