Breakfast at the hotel. Our half-day sightseeing tour of Vientiane begins with a visit to Wat Sisaket, the city’s oldest temple, its magnificent structure contains stunning frescoes and Buddha statues. We continue exploring the former royal temple of Haw Pha Kaew, which once housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image, the next is the imposing Patouxai Monument, also known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe, before moving on to That Luang Stupa, Laos’s most sacred structure, and symbol.
Then, we leave town to visit Buddha Park, an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures scattered across the Mekong Riverside meadow near the Friendship Bridge with about 200 religious images dating back over 500 years were created by a mysterious monk spreading his life philosophy and revealing his ideas about the universe. On the back way to our hotel, we enjoy a spectacular sunset view over the Mekong River from one of the riverside bars.

This morning, we take our bike tour of Vientiane, visiting sites such as WatOng Tue, WatInpeng, and WatHaisok, as well as the main shopping district and Vientiane’s Central Market, Talad Sao. After returning to the hotel, you have the afternoon free to relax or see more of Vientiane and enjoy the amazing sunset over a few drinks on the riverfront.

Breakfast at the hotel, then we catch a short flight to Luang Prabang UNESCO-listed site, upon arrival, you are picked up and start our tour to visit the Royal Palace Museum, which houses the city’s oldest temple, the magnificent WatXiengthong, with its roof sweeping low to the ground, representing classical Lao architecture, the impressive stupa of WatVisoun, and the shrine of Waltham.
We finish the day by ascending Mount Phousi to explore the sacred gilded stupa and take in the panoramic view of the city and the setting sun over the Mekong River, as you descend the mountain, you will find yourself in the heart of the famous Luang Prabang Night Market, where you can find a one-of-a-kind selection of handmade textiles and handicrafts made by both ethnic Lao and hill tribe people from the surrounding area.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for KuangSi Waterfall, stopping along the way to visit the morning Phousi Market, where all Luang Prabang residents go to do their daily shopping among chickens, fish, vegetables, and fruit are a variety of local foods and products such as dried buffalo skin, local tea, and saltpeter, as well as everything needed for daily life in Laos.
Upon arriving at KuangSi Falls, you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the topaz pools below the falls, walk along the forest trails, and visit the Bear Sanctuary, you’ll also have a picnic lunch beneath the falls.
On our way back to Luang Prabang, we board our private boat for a scenic cruise up the Mekong River to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, which are an ancient pilgrimage site with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images that have been left there for hundreds of years.
We disembark our boat in Luang Prabang and have the option of taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving or returning to the hotel for free.

After breakfast at the hotel., we start our tour of the Elephant Village Camp: Our camp manager will greet you and you will take part in a briefing about elephants. The Elephant Ride: Enjoy an unforgettable 3 km elephant ride on the howdah (elephant seat) or on your elephant’s neck! 2 for each elephant Trip by boat to Tad Sae Waterfall: Ride in a traditional Lao long boat to the Tad Sae Waterfall, where you can relax or swim in the clear water (a swimsuit is recommended!).
Lunch will be served at our Elephant Camp restaurant with the buffet served with coffee/tea and water (vegetarian options are available). Return to your hotel in Luang Prabang to prepare for your next destination.
