Japanese Covered Bridge overview

The Japanese Covered Bridge is regarded as a symbol with a lot of meaning in relation to the culture, life, and history of the Hoi An people. It is not only popular with locals in Hoi An, but also with domestic and foreign tourists who visit the city.

Japanese Covered Bridge was built by Japanese merchants in the early 17th century and has an 18m length. It is laid via a channel that flows through the Hoai River, a branch of the Thu Bon River. In 1817, the Japanese Covered Bridge was also rebuilt with many beautiful patterns.
