Cuc Phuong National Park overview
Cuc Phuong National Park is located in Ninh Binh Province, about 120 kilometers southwest of Hanoi and 45 kilometers northwest of Ninh Binh City. The park spans around 25.000 hectares and borders three provinces: Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa.
This is one of Vietnam’s largest national parks, famous for its rich animal population and botanical splendor. It is also a renowned tourist site in northern Vietnam.

Best time to explore Cuc Phuong National Park
The park appears to be a large natural park with diverse wildlife and plants. The park has excellent weather all year, with temperatures ranging from 15-20°C in the summer, making it perfect for hiking and trekking.
However, due to the dry weather, the best months to visit are October through March. You should avoid visiting the park on rainy days since it is quite damp and full of mosquitos and terrestrial leeches; they might adhere to your foot, get your blood, and you will be completely unaware of it.
