The route from Duong Dong town to North Phu Quoc is pretty far, the road is quite bad; so that, to save costs and visit all the places, you should travel by motorbike whose rental cost is VND 120,000/day. As you move, remember to bring water and some snacks to eat along the way. Refueling carefully if you don not want to leave the vehicle halfway (motorcycle left here is not lost)
The most famous tourist destination in South Phu Quoc Island in particular and in Phu Quoc in general is Phu Quoc prison. The prison no longer detains prisoners, but was restored into a museum with a jail, statues illustrating kinds of tortures, barbed wire… The only limitation of the museum is that every thing is completely renewed making visitors somewhat disappointed. Phu Quoc prison is opened from 8am – 11:30 am and from 1:30 pm – 5 pm daily.

Tranh stream and Khem beach attract tourists in two different ways. Tranh stream is the beauty of the stream originating from Ham Ninh mountain range and flowing in three-floor waterfall and the cool and pleasant air like an autumn day in Dalat. Meanwhile, Kem (Khem beach) is one of the beautiful and romantic beaches with the blue color of the sea, the white of the waves and the mountains surrounding. The next stop in the South Phu Quoc Island is “the kingdom of pepper”, the fish sauce bucket with warm wood colour, pearls growing and trading points (including East Phu Quoc Island).
