One Day in Hue

It generally takes visitors at least 2-3 days to discover all the beauty of Hue, the  dreamy land. However, you can totally enjoy the typical and understanding charms of this land with the following schedule.

7 am: Have breakfast

In the early morning, the cafeteria in Hue is bustling with diners. The menu for breakfast is extremely varied, but the most popular ones are still the noodle dishes. 8am: Visit Dai Noi (the Citadel)

Dai Noi is located on the Hue Citadel, about more than 1 km from Truong Tien Bridge. With entrance ticket of 75,000 VND /person /trip, you will visit the Museum of Antiquities and the entire court Citadel with many attractive activities such as guard exchanging ceremony at Ngo Mon (the Northern Gate), performing traditional music in Thai Hoa palace and The Mieu, and Hue singing in Truong Sanh palace. If you not rent electric cars to move in the Citadel, you should wear low shoes in order to travel in comfort.

10am: Visit Thien Mu Pagoda

Thien Mu pagoda, about 5 km from the center of Hue city, is the most famous temple in the ancient capital located by the romantic Huong River. Coming here, you will admire an ancient and lyrical architectural complex with a great blend between Huong Nguyen temple, Phuoc Duyen Tower, Dai Hung palace with a pine forest and floral garden behind. 12am: Have lunch

Mussel rice dish is rustic, however, visiting without enjoying this dish, you do not really understand the culinary of the ancient capital. You can find this Hue’s specialty everywhere in the city. However, the best place is still Con Hen and restaurants on Pham Hong Thai, Truong Dinh streets.

1 pm: Go to Dong Ba Market

Dong Ba market is not only large commercial center but also a well-known tourist attraction of Hue. You can buy traditional items here such as Phu Cam conical hat, Hien Luong cutlery, Ke Mon Tuan jeweler, dried lotus in Tinh Tam lake … and the traditional and simple Hue dishes.

5 pm: Enjoy Vy Da Coffee

Afternoon is the ideal time for you to sip a cup of coffee in Vi Da Village and comfortably see the gentle flow of Huong river. 18h: Have dinner

You can enjoy King meal at restaurants or hotels on Le Loi Street hotel with price of 500,000 VND and above.

7pm: Listen to music on Huong (Perfume) River

10pm: Walking on Truong Tien Bridge

In peaceful space, walking on Truong Tien Bridge – the symbol of the people of Hue is a very relaxed and peaceful feeling. You can also join the crowd going shopping on walking street at the night market at the foot of Truong Tien Bridge.
