After your breakfast at the hotel, we start our Hanoi city tour to visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex with its Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and one pillar pagoda.
Next, we will visit nearby West Lake, Quan Thanh Temple, and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Afterward, we see the Temple of Literature, originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is also Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070, the temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society placed then and now on education.
Lunch will be at a fine local restaurant in Hanoi. In the afternoon, we will visit one of the most interesting museums in Vietnam, the Museum of Ethnology, widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minorities.
Then enjoy a memorable one-hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter, known for the 36 streets to see the real life of the Hanoian and the different parts of the city, have your cameras ready! this bustling area of narrow streets is home to thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers, originally, the 36 street names were related to the products being sold there.
Before transferring you back to the hotel, we enjoy the unique Water Puppet show to hear the Vietnamese traditional instruments and songs from the live musicians who play throughout the show.

06:30 Enjoy Tai Chi instructions on the sundeck in 30 minutes whilst cruising to Luon cave.
07:00 Enjoy a light breakfast in the restaurant.
08:00 Visit Luon cave by kayak, one of the caves open to the form of beautiful endemic vegetation of Halong Bay. Visit Luon cave by a traditionally woven (bamboo) boat rowed by a local boatman (public ticket 50.000đ/person).
09:00 Then come back to Athena Cruise, relax, and check out of the cabin. Please put your luggage outside the door. Our porters will collect and get them ready on the Pier for you. Finally, the cruise disembarks from Hạ Long International Harbor.
09:30 Check out the cabin. Enjoy the brunch buffet menu served in the dining room. Settle bills in the dining room after brunch (if you have one).
10:45 Transfer by tender back to Hạ Long International Harbour and disembarkation, then the driver picks you up and transfers you to Hanoi airport to catch a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Upon arrival at the airport, our driver and tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to your central hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Firstly, we pass by the now-demolished wartime American Embassy and then visit the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until April 1975, explore the French colonial structures of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office, visit the War Remnant Museum and the bustling Ben Thanh Market the largest market in southern Vietnam.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Saigon before discovering the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground tunnel network built by Vietnamese fighters during their long struggle for independence. Return to your hotel around 5:30 PM for free time. This evening, suggestion that you should stroll through the outdoor night market for unique souvenirs and street food this evening.

Today you are free for leisure & until transfer to the Airport for the flight to Vientiane, the capital of Laos, is a fascinating capital, with a fusion of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and American influences, this charming and easygoing city will provide a smooth introduction to Laos.
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel, after a short rest, an orientation walk of Lao Capital is a pleasant way to spend the day, strolling around some of the city’s most historical sites and seeing some of the French colonial architecture.
Next, we observe the sunset by the Mekong Riverside until late evening and experience the city lifestyle of the local Lao people.

AM: After breakfast, we start to visit the major sights of the Vientiane capital, including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image.
On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we will stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph, then, we visit the central market known as the ‘Morning Market’ which is a great place for browsing antiques, handmade textiles, and gifts.
PM: We board our short flight to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage City Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best–preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia, the tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Asia.
Upon arrival at the airport, you are picked up and transferred to the hotel, after a short rest, we climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as viewing a beautiful and panoramic sunset over the ancient and once royal city and the Mekong River.
We then stroll around the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of textiles made by the locals and the hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we enjoy a short guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrines of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene, and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture.
We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims, along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine.
On our way back, we pass the local villages at Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan and continue to see the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun, which once belonged to a royal family patronage near Sackarine Caves, we also cross to the city and take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village well known for its hand weaving.

Optional tour
An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents, this tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession, this is a real highlight of the tour before saying goodbye to this charming city.
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport, we then say farewell and depart this ancient city.
