This 24-day trip starts in VIETNAM’s Hanoi and finishes in MYANMAR’s Yangon, including all major sightseeing throughout VIETNAM, CAMBODIA, LAOS, THAILAND, and MYANMAR, ensuring to provide you with an authentic Southeast Asia experience.
The trip includes all the highlights of HANOI, VIETNAM’S CAPITAL, a two-day leisure cruise ship on the famous Halong Bay UNESCO-listed site, followed by a short flight to Danang/Hoi An to visit the historical Old Town of Hoi An UNESCO-listed site and free on the beautiful sandy beaches, the next amazing exploration is Ho Chi Minh City or still called the colonial Saigon, the largest city and locates in southern Vietnam, and take a boat ride to discover the Mekong River Delta.
Then fly to SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA for two days to explore the splendor of Angkor Wat, a UNESCO-listed site, and take a boat trip to Tonle Lake’s floating village. Arrive in Laos, you will have a one-day city tour in VIENTIANE, LAOS’ CAPITAL before moving on to Luang Prabang with its old town UNESCO-listed site, and swimming in the crystal-clear waters at the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls.
The following two days are for your Mekong River cruise from Laos to CHIANG RAI, THAILAND. Following that, you will explore the enigmatic golden triangle areas and visit the Long Neck Karen village in northern Thailand. Finally, end your journey in YANGON, MYANMAR’s garden city and main gateway, to see the magnificent pagodas.

Upon your arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi the capital of Vietnam, look for a greeting board with your name, and our tour guide will escort you and transfer you to your hotel in the city center. Today, if time permits, we enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional local restaurant in the heart of Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour – Discover the Capital City of Vietnam

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, has oriental-style old buildings, luxuriant trees along streets, local markets, motorbikes, etc, A city tour in Hanoi will give you the first impression of oriental. In the city tour, you will visit the Hochiminh Mausoleum and his former, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology or Vietnam History Museum, Hoan Kiem Lake, and a Cyclo tour to the old quarter of Hanoi. Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Cruise & Overnight on a 5-star Cruise Ship

Start at 8:00 am with a private transfer to Halong City. Upon arrival, you will board the cruise ship for a relaxing Halong Bay Cruise through the stunning Halong Bay. Day 4: Halong Bay Cruise – Fly to Danang/Hoi An

Greeting by the sunrise from the sea horizon, you can join a Thai Chi lesson for some morning exercise before breakfast. Visit a limestone grotto in the morning and disembark around 11:00 am then transfer to the airport for the onward flight to Danang. Upon arriving in Danang, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel in Hoian (about 30 minutes drive). Check-in hotel and overnight in Hoian.

Day 5: My Son Heritage – The Old Town of Hoi An – Walking Tour

Visit the My SON Holy Land in the morning to discover the ruined temple which was built in the 4th century. When driving back to Hoian, visit the historical Hoian Ancient Town including the colorful local market, the Tan Ky Old House, Fukien Assembly Hall, and the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge. You can also visit the residents raising silkworms and producing silk for Hoi An’s burgeoning textile industry. In the evening, the local people will hang up the red lanterns, which will give you the feeling of traveling back to ancient times.

Hoian is also famous for its beautiful sandy beach. Today you will relax to just enjoy the sun shining and the beach. If you want some fun activities today, we highly recommend you join a fishing tour to experience being a local fisherman or go diving on Cham Island.

Day 7: Danang/Hoi An – Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) – City Tour

Enjoy free time in the morning until transfer to Danang airport for the onward flight to Saigon. Upon arrival in Saigon, you will meet your local guide in Saigon and escort you to the hotel. Day 8: Saigon – Boat Trip in My Tho & Ben Tre of Mekong River Delta

Enjoy a full-day tour from Saigon to My Tho to discover the Mekong River Delta, which is famed as the ‘rice bowl of Vietnam. You will take a private boat tour through the water coconut forest to the center of the Mekong Delta, enjoy a biking tour (about 1 hour) to discover the villages, and a sampan trip through the narrow canals. Transfer back to Saigon in the afternoon.

Day 9: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels & Cooking Class – Cruise Dinner

Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels in the morning. On the way back to Saigon, you will stop by an organic farm where you can pick up organic vegetables and join a cooking class to learn to cook some famous Vietnamese food. Lunch will be arranged there by your cooking class. When driving back to Saigon, enjoy some relaxing time by yourself. In the evening, a cruise dinner to enjoy the beautiful night scenery of Saigon on the Mekong River would be a farewell to this beautiful oriental city.

Day 10: Saigon – Fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia – Angkor Wat & Angkor Complex Tour

Angkor Wat—Impressed by the magnificent temple of Angkor Wat. Enjoy free time until transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will be welcomed by our local guide at the airport and then escorted to the hotel.
After check-in and a short rest, your private guide will escort you to discover the world’s wonder site—Angkor Wat, the magnificent temple was built in the 12th century and it is the largest first Hindu, and Buddhist temple complex and the largest religious monument in the world. On your way back to Siem Reap, enjoy the sunset from the top of the pyramid-shaped temple of Pre Rup.

Day 11: Angkor Temple Complex Tour

After breakfast, the cool weather and less traffic are perfect for traveling in a Tuk Tuk to visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom, the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire. The tour in Angkor Thom will start from the South Gate and walk along the ancient city wall to see the lost temple of Prasat Chroung, then continue to the Bayon temple where you will be surrounded by 216 gigantic stone faces which fame for the “smile of Angkor”.
You will also visit the Terrace of the Elephants, the Royal Palace, and the Terrace of the Leper King, then your driver will pick you up and you can enjoy air-conditioning and cold drinks inside your private car while transferring to the Temple of Ta Prohm which is wildly known as the “lost to the jungle temple”. In the morning, visit a half-day excursion to the biggest Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake—Tonle Sap Lake. You will firstly enjoy a fun ox cart ride through the countryside, continue to have a boat trip to enjoy the beautiful lake view and mangrove forest on the lake, then spend the rest of the morning at the largest village on the lake which is called Kompong Phluk, to discover the fascinating daily lives of the local people who leave on the water. Day 16: Kuang Si Waterfalls – Luang Prabang City Tour

Luang Prabang, the city surrounded by the Mekong River and well known for its golden city is well known for its beautifully decorated Buddhist temples, it is a place that you will keep appearing in your mind for a long time after your Indochina tour. Your memorable trip will start with partaking in an alms ritual in the morning, you will accept the blessing of the monks who you give the alms.
Have breakfast in the hotel and then start the half-day excursion to Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you will enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, have fun in the waterfalls, and relax. Drive back to the town for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Wat Xiengthong which is a symbolic temple of classic Laotian architecture, and visit the Royal Palace Museum to learn some history of Laos. Then visit the Wat Aham Temple which means “Monastery of the Opened Heart” and the Stupa of Wat Visoun.

Day 17: Mekong River Crusie & Pak Ou Cave

Today, you will embark on the Luang Say boat for a 2-day cruise to Huay Xai, the small town located at the border of Laos and Thailand, you will proceed to Chiang Rai in Thailand from the border pass there. The boat will start at 7:00 am, cruise to the Pak Ou Village which is located at the mouth of the Nam Ou River, you will have a shore excursion to visit the Tam Thing Caves of Thousand Buddhas.
Lunch will be a buffet on board and the boat will keep cruising upstream the Mekong River to a hill tribe village where you can watch the traditional process of Lao whiskey production. Our boat will stop at Pak Beng around sunset and check in at Luang Say Lodge overnight. Dinner will be arranged on the Luang Say Lodge’s terrace restaurant with a view of the Mekong River.

Day 18: Mekong River Cruise – Chiang Rai, Thailand

Enjoy breakfast at the Luang Say Lodge, then board the boat at 7:00 am and keep cruising toward the upper stream of the Mekong River. En route, you will stop to visit a local village to witness the rural life along the Mekong River and visit the Minority ethnic people.
Lunch will be a buffet served on board, and you will arrive at Huay Xai around 5:00 pm. Go through the board and you will be welcomed by your local guide on the Thailand side of the border, who then escort you to your hotel in Chiang Rai.

Day 19: Chiang Rai City Tour Half-Day

After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, we will drive to visit Opium House at the bent of the mighty Mekong River and see the scenery view of three countries (Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos). Visit the ancient city of Chiang Saen, where ruins of numerous, temples, stupas, and Buddha images are still to be seen as artifacts, and archaeological finds are exhibited at the National Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant and transfer back to the hotel in Chiang Rai.

Day 20: Golden Triangle Tour

The Golden Triangle is a mysterious region for most of the Indochina tour makes, today you will enjoy a full-day excursion to the heart of the Golden Triangle region. Your fascinating day will start in the morning by first visiting the Long Neck Karen village to see the Long Neck Hill tribe people who relocated from the Thai and Myanmar border, visit a Cock Fighting near the hill tribe village.
Keep driving to Mt. Doi Mae Salong and visit the Chinese village on the top of the mountain. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue the trip to the highest peak on the Thai-Myanmar border, Doi Tung to view many different Lahu and Akha villages as well as terraced farming areas and see from a distance the Princess Mother’s frigid flower Garden, built in A.D.1493, is located at the peak, its scenery reminds one of Switzerland and features many unique images and temple architecture overlooking the entire northern rice field plain. Before you arrive in Chiang Mai, you will stop to visit the White Temple which is a fascinating temple with amazing design and beautiful sculptures, and visit a charity school—School For Life which was co-founded by Berlin Free University, it is a children’s village that offers free education, accommodation, and medical care to children with difficult backgrounds, it is highly appreciated by UNESCO, here you will enjoy a cooking lesson with Children to learn how to cook local Thai Food, lunch will be the food you cook and enjoy it with the children there.

Day 23: Yangon City Tour

Rise early in the morning to visit the Shwedagon Pagoda which is the largest pagoda with painted real gold in Yangon. The benefit of visiting the pagoda in the early morning you will enjoy a quiet and extremely peaceful atmosphere by watching local people and monks pray in front of the Pagoda. Transfer back to the hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, you will visit the Reclining Buddha (Chaok-Htat-Gyi) and Mahabandoola Park. Have some rest after lunch, and in the afternoon, enjoy some free time wandering around in Bogyoke Market and the then Bogyoke Market busy streets of Yangon’s famous China Town and Yangon Jetty. Finish your day off at the riverside where the road is flanked by colonized style builds which will give you the impression of Myanmar in old times.
