Cu Chi Tunnels is about 60 kilometers by bus from Ho Chi Minh City and contains many historical relics and activities from the Vietnamese-American war such as a school for children, a hospital, a kitchen where rice paper is made, and so on. 

Best time to visit Cu Chi

It is warm all year in Cu Chi, with an average humidity level of 75%, and an average temperature of 28°C (82°F) but the best time to visit Cu Chi is in the dry season from November to the end of April when the temperature ranges from 25°C to 30°C. 

In this region, a year is divided into two distinct seasons: the rainy and the dry season, from November to the end of April is the dry season, often reaching around 30°C (85°F). Rain falls between May and October, but the weather still remains warm, usually between 25°C and 32°C (77°F and 90°F).

How to travel to Cu Chi Tunnels?

It is just about 60km from Saigon center to Cu Chi Tunnels so there are various modes of transfer to reach this historical site to visit such as by bus No. 13 from 23-9 Park that nearby Pham Ngu Lao street to Cu Chi Bus Station, then change to bus No. 79 which reach to Ben Duoc (one of the gates) in Cu Chi Tunnels. The bus tickets are totally about 1-2 USD and it takes about 2-2.5-hours from Saigon to Cu Chi Tunnels by local bus, by taxi (the private transfer), motorbike, or speedboat that will take you from Tan Cang pier through Saigon River to Cu Chi in 1.5-hours at 7:30 am every day.
