We’re off to nearby U Bein Bridge, at 1.2km the world’s longest teak footbridge. It’s a hugely photogenic structure. It stretches across Thaungthaman Lake it comes alive in every sense as dawn approaches. Monks in crimson cross from one end to the other; fishermen cast their nets in the still waters, and the occasional cyclist adds more movement and backlit geometry to the scene. you’ll have captured dozens of great images: after making the classic shots near
by the wooden bridge. We are to head off to one of the impressive nunnery in Sagaing where we are making the most iconic photos of young Buddhist nuns praying, meditating with special arrangement ( Remarks : this nunnery is one of the secret place for professional photographers and no other photographers and normal clients go there , only one of the hidden photogenic spot for our clients). From the clouds of marble-dust emerge Buddha likenesses in all shapes and sizes to address Burma’s seemingly insatiable appetite for these religious icons .Mandalay’s Mahamuni Pagoda, with its ancient Buddha statue, draws us next. The statue is traditionally held to be one of the only five likenesses of the Buddha in existence and the pagoda is therefore especially revered. Simply walking down the main hallway approaching the central pagoda is an experience! — Past fortune-tellers and stalls selling religious knick-knacks, in the footsteps of the pious and the prayerful.
Then directly go to restaurant for lunch and after lunch break, transfer to Hotel for refreshment and check out . before heading off to Mandalay International Airport , We’ve planned a rather special little photographic encounter at another monastery, one of our favorites: Shwe In Bin Kyaung, a masterpiece in solid teak, commissioned at vast expense in 1895 by two wealthy Chinese jade merchants. It’s spectacular, every hand-carved inch of it. We like the light here and will work with it to practice our natural-light portraiture skills: it’s always a thrill to see, here in this amazing wooden studio set, the inverse-square law of light at work, to witness how moving just a few inches further back from a window can make or break a photograph. Then directly proceed to Mandalay International Airport to catch the flight to Bagan . upon arrival at Bagan, transfer to hotel to check in and then enjoy dinner at good local restaurant and overnight stay at Bawgatheddhi Hotel Bagan.
