DAY 1: Yangon Arrival
Welcome by the Grand Myanmar Legend representative on arrival at Yangon International airport and transfer to your hotel. After a brief freshening up at the hotel, we begin the orientation tour of Yangon.
Explore the commercial capital Yangon, the biggest city in Myanmar with a population of over 5 million. Its tree lined wide avenues, its shady green parks and the beautiful lakes give Yangon the reputation of one of the most charming and lively cities in Asia.
The orientation tour of Yangon includes Sule Pagoda, quite unusual in that its octagonal shape extends right up to the bell and inverted bowl, the City Hall & Colonial buildings, Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda – which houses a spectacular reclining Buddha, photo stop at the distinctive Karaweik Hall and Royal Barge on the Kandawgyi Royal Lake.
At sunset, visit the marvelous Shwedagon Pagoda, the glistening golden stupa that towers over the capital and one of the wonders of the world, it is considered the spiritual centre of the country.

DAY 2: Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo by car ( B )
After breakfast at your hotel, start the road trip to the “Golden Rock”. After 1½ hour, you will get to Bago and upon arrival to Bago, you are to visit the studies of Buddha’s teachings with the monks of Kyakhatwaing monastery where over 1000 Buddhist monks reside. Then, take another 2 hours drive to get to Mountain view restaurant for lunch break nearby Kin Pun base Camp; the first There, you will have to get on the open truck to be transferred to “Yathetaung Camp” for other vehicles are not allowed to driving up the steep way. Start your light trekking <approx 45 min> to the famous “Golden Rock Pagoda” This miracle Pagoda is situated in Mon State, regarded as one of the most sacred pagodas along with Shwedagon from Yangon and Maha Muni from Mandalay. It is also believed the hair relic of the Buddha was enshrined in the huge rock which is hanging and balancing on the edge of the cliff.. Enjoy and overlook the magnificence view of the surrounding area and overnight stay in , Kyaikhtiyo.
DAY 3: Kyaikhityo – Bago – Yangon by car ( B )
After breakfast at hotel, observe the morning activities of the local pilgrims and walking back to the “Yathetaung Camp” and transferred by the open trunk to the base camp again to driving back to Yangon. On the way back, in Bago, have lunch and then major sightseeing in Bago include a visit to the famous “Shwemawdaw Pagoda” which is 144 meters high, Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha (55 metres long),28 meter high huge Buddha Image of Kyaikpun Pagoda with its four huge Buddha Images facing the cardinal points and the one interest place is Kanbawzathardi Palace. After that drive straight back to Yangon and overnight stay in Yangon Myanmar.
DAY 4: Yangon / Heho-Inle by morning flight and sightseeing in Inle by boat ( B)
This morning you are to wake up early then , you are transferred to Yangon international airport for your flight to Heho. Upon arrival to Heho airport, a scenic one hour drive leads to small town called Nyaung Shwe, the major gateway to Inle lake, on the way to Nyaung Shwe, you are to visit to Shwe Yan Pyay Wooden Monastery with unique oval shaped window, dating back to over 140 years ago. Then directly transfer to boat stand in Nyaung Shawe and board a private
motorboat to head out to Inle lake, one of the most spectacular sights, pass villages built on silts over the lake, inhabited by the local Intha people. Observe the unique leg rowing fishermen and see their floating gardens built up from strips of water hyacinth, bottomed lake weed, marsh and mud and anchored to the bottom of lake with bamboo pole. Take a lunch break at restaurant in Inle lake .
Afternoon sightseeing will include with the excursion to weaving village of Inpawkhone and Cherrot factory where the typical Burmese hand rolled cigars are med by hand. then continue to Pahung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary Which contains five sacred Buddha images covered in gold leaf after than visit to Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, which houses dozens of Shan Buddha Images, but which is also popularly known as “ Jumping cats” monastery. DAY 5: Inle-Indein sightseeing & Inle –Heho-Bagan by afternoon flight ( B )
After breakfast, excursion to Inn Dein village by driving along the narrow creek and it might take approximately 45 minutes from your hotel jetty then embark and walk to the Shwe Inn Thein pagoda complex through the bamboo groove. There, you will see the ruin Shan style stupas which were abandoned and forgotten for decades and those relics and images were stolen, ruined or destroyed. Lunch break at Indein. After lunch , directly transfer to jetty then drive straight to Heho airport to catch the flight to Bagan. Upon arrival to Bagan , you will be transferred to hotel and overnight in Bagan Myanmar.
DAY 6: Bagan full day sightseeing by car ( B )
The Bagan archaeological zone is one of the richest historical sites in Asia and the main tourist attraction in Myanmar. It is considered by archaeologists, historians and photographers alike as one of Asia’s holiest cities along with Varanasi in India and Angkor Wat in Cambodia as it displaysthe greatest collection of Buddhist sculptures, lavishly decorated monuments: temples and pagodas decorated with mural paintings and plaster carvings from the 11th to 13th centuries. During its Golden Age, in the 12th century, Bagan was known as “the City of Four Million Pagodas”. While Kublai Khan and several massive earthquakes have reduced that number drastically, what remains is quite incredible.
This morning upon arrival to Bagan, we are to start visiting Nyaung Oo Market, then proceed to Shwezigon Pagoda, the first monument built in pure Myanmar style, this prototype for later pagodas, is one of the oldest and loveliest temples and remains an important place of devotion for the Burmese; Ananda Temple, a masterpiece of the early style temple architecture. Built in 1066, the gilded and whitewashed Ananda is among the most elegant temples, with delicate decorations in glazed tiles along its base and terraces;
Bagan is also famous as the centre of Myanmar’s thriving lacquerware industry. In the afternoon, the tour includes a stop at a local lacquerware workshop to watch the skilled artisans at work on the various stages of the production.
In the afternoon , continue highlight of Bagan including Damyangyi Temple, Sularmuni Temple and enjoy the sunset from Pyathatgyi temple .Overnight in Bagan Myanmar
DAY 7: Bagan – Mt. Popa – Bagan by car (B)
This morning after breakfast, drive some 50km southeast of Bagan to Mt. Popa, an extinct volcano (1,500m). On the way, stop at a palm plantation and palm sugar candy workshop in Kyaukpadaung village. Mt. Popa, the Burmese “Mt. Olympus” is a legendary home of the “Mahagiri Nats” (Powerful national spirits) and an important pilgrimage site.
After arrival at Mt Popa an optional climb to the summit for an amazing panorama view and visit a Nat shrine and monasteries on top of the volcano. Everything about the place is dramatic: the lush vegetation on the mountain’s slopes; the petrified forest along the road; the complex of monasteries and shrines perched on the rocky crag and endless views of the plains below. The Mt Popa area has been designated as a National Park.
This afternoon back to Bagan, rent a bicycle or hire a horse cart and lose yourself amidst the crumbling spires if this fabulous place. Overnight- Bagan Myanmar.
DAY 8: Bagan –Pakkoku-Monywa by car ( B )
After breakfast, check out from hotel and we are to move to Monywa enroute Pakkoku (approximately 130 km and 3 hours drive ) visit the local market and cigar factory in Pakkoku . then on the way stop by one of the authentic village called “ Ma Ahu Ale Ywa ” known as a little Bagan where you can observe cluster of ancient pagodas dating back to 1000 years ago and visit Incense Stick Making Factory in the village and enjoy the lunch in Monywa.
In the afternoon , departure for the splendid temple-caves of PoWinTaung , a Buddhist cave complex, located on the western bank of the Chindwin River, approximately 25 kilometers west of Monywa. The name of the complex means Mountain of Isolated Solitary Meditation. The complex contains 947 small and large richly decorated caves. firstly you will be transferred to jetty to cross Chindwin river by small ferry boat and take a car for 40 minutes to get to Mystery Poe Win Taung Cave (some dating back to the 15th century) that contain an abundance of Buddha images and some fine mural paintings. After your visit around the cave and Return to Monywa and overnight stay in Monywa Myanmar.
DAY 9: Monywa s/s and Mandalay by car ( B )
After breakfast at hotel, check out from hotel and we are to move to Monywa, one of the important trade centre in Myanmar, located 136 from Mandalay on the eastern bank of the Ayeyarwaddy river (3h approximately) by coach. In Monywa, we are to finish the remaining highlight of Monywa including the famous Thamboddhay temple (Known as half million Buddha images) and Bawdi tahtaung, reclining and standing Buddha at site then proceed to Sagaing “ The holy place of Myanmar dotted with over thousands of Buddhist Monasteries and nunneries over the hillock of Sagaing. Stop on route to visit the KaungMudaw Pagoda with its enormous white dome and its some 800 stone pillars located at the base . enjoy the lunch in Sagaing and then visit Buddhist nunnery in Sagaing and drive to the top of Sagaing Hill to enjoy the Sunset over Sagaing Hill . then drive back to Mandalay and overnight in Mandalay Myanmar.
DAY10: Mandalay – Mingun – Amarapura – Mandalay by boat and car (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the jetty to take a ferry boat to Mingun, 11 km upriver from Mandalay on the western bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. After taking one hour boat ride, you can walk and start your tour includes the Mingun Pagoda, unfinished pagoda which was said to be the biggest pile of brick in the world , Mingun bell, the world largest ringing bell, and Myatheindan Pagoda. Then,stream down to Mandalay by downstream river . Lunch break at good local restaurant with river view.
In the afternoon, visit to Amarapura, an ancient capital of Burmese Kings and some highlights to be a must –see on the way to Amarapura include of Mahamuni Pagoda and its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leave and street of stone sculptors for carving Buddha images in different sizes out of Marble and alabaster then proceed to directly to U Being bridge and enjoy the sunset and walk over U-Bein Bridge, which is 1.2 Kilometers in length and made entirely of teak. Return to your hotel in Mandalay and overnight stay in Mandalay Myanmar
DAY 11: Mandalay morning sightseeing and Mandalay departure by car and international flight ( B )
This morning after breakfast , we are to visit the Old Palace grounds; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world’s largest book for its 729 marble slabs inscribed with the Buddha’s Doctrine; Golden Palace Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings then drive back to hotel to check out and then drive straight Mandalay International Airport for your departure flight to onward destination.
